They measure in liters, and then compare it in dollars?

(Oh wait, I see. It's easier to hit the billions when you're talking liters... the numbers wouldn't look quite as impressive, I suppose)
most of the countries in the world sell their gas in liters instead of gallons...
Either way, does it matter? the point is pretty clear that we use A LOT of gas in this country.
